What is the study about?
Anyone can tell their story, but do they embrace it and love it enough to share it? We will learn to be courageous and vulnerable in giving away what God has given to us - His great love! We will also go to Valley Pregnancy Center the 2nd study to love our city as well as go to feed some beautiful elderly in our city. Be sure and check the schedule and mark your calendars for these awesome nights together. Hey, our first night will be a Salad Bar, please bring your favorite topping.
Women
Our ministry is here to cultivate the women of our church and community as they come to faith, Christian growth and service through being in God's presence, being in His Word and being with one another. Bible Studies, Being Mentored by our Mentoring Team, Ladies Night Out, BABES Health Challenge, Retreats, Breakfasts and other special events will inspire your heart, enrich your life and strengthen your relationships—especially your relationship with the Lord. We encourage our women to use their gifts by giving them a platform to serve not only in women’s ministries, but also to be mobilized within their sphere of influence, our Children’s ministries, Student ministries, elderly care - loving all by being teachers and mentors to the younger generations and serving the older. Our prayer for each woman is for her to find an opportunity to invest in Kingdom building and be part of our church body and beyond. Every woman has something to give!
The women at HVC are so excited about sharing their lives with other women of all ages. Kyra Meekins
Women's Director
Kyra graduated from Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, TX, where she met her husband, Pastor Derek Meekins. They have been married 30 years and served in ministry most of those years. They have 2 sons, Jon (20) and Christian (18). She serves on staff as women's director and graphics. Currently Kyra is working on a lullaby CD, as she believes that babies are touched in the presence of God.
